Software architecture studies and audits

Ardans consultants are involved in the study and audit phases of software architecture with its clients to define with them the best solutions to meet their needs, whether at the design, specification or modelling level.

To gather the needs and expectations of its clients, Ardans consultants use interview techniques derived from those used by knowledge management consultants. This is why Ardans consultants are specialists in the design of information systems from both a functional and software perspective.

Integration and deployment of web applications

To develop web-based management applications, Ardans has developed its own component libraries called Ardans Information Maker (AIM).

With the help of these libraries, Ardans designs and builds business applications that meet the client's specifications. Ardans supports its clients from the design phase through to the deployment and training phase.

Support for developed applications

For all applications developed by Ardans, we offer "attentive" support. This includes telephone and e-mail support during working hours, with a deadline for taking into account agreed with the client.

Ardans teams intervene :

  • either remotely: Ardans uses screen-sharing software to assist the project partners or the application users. In some cases, with the client's agreement, it is possible to create a VPN link between the Ardans site and the client site.
  • or directly on the client's premises for more important interventions or in relation to the sensitivity of the information or data handled.

Information and Knowledge Systems (IKS)

IKS are those integrated interoperable hybrid systems where the user benefits from the cross-fertilisation between information and knowledge-based systems. The Ardans vision expressed in the article "KM tools and methods exploited for the benefit of IT applications: a step towards information & knowledge cross-fertilisation?" by Alain Berger & Jean-Pierre Cotton (see AIM 2016) is consistent with and complementary to the vision expressed by Arduin, P.-E. & Grundstein, M. & Rosenthal-Sabroux C. "Information and knowledge-based system" (2015).
