Innovation spearheads business competitiveness

Innovation is a way to improve the efficiency of a company, to create new products and thus to gain an advantage in the market. However, it is always fickle and not easily discovered. It is a constant struggle to foster innovation and not let it slip away.

This is where knowledge management comes in, to create a virtuous circle in which innovation becomes more present, and above all more visible.

The majority of innovations in companies are closer to incremental than to fundamental innovations. That is to say, they improve existing products and/or services, without causing a major break with the usual methods. Knowledge management therefore contributes to this by disseminating it throughout the organisation, and by encouraging collaborative work with the sharing of knowledge and feedback. This source then allows the company to innovate.

Since the progress of information and communication technologies (ICT), knowledge management has become an indispensable and powerful tool to support innovation in companies. It helps to fill the gaps in companies' ability to innovate, such as problems of knowledge coordination, or lack of capacity to capitalise on existing knowledge. It also makes it possible to exploit the variety of skills and expertise.

What we offer, in addition to our usual knowledge management offerings, which are equally well suited to supporting innovation, is a specific software: Innovation Management Tool (IMT). This platform supports innovation through knowledge and the support of innovation competitions.
